The Team at 36th Chamber have created "Chamber Sessions", an after-hours initiative that adheres to Ray Oldenburg's Third Place Theory. Chamber Sessions primary objective is to create a welcoming atmosphere for music, art, and social interaction.
Volume One Hosted by DJ Assault [Detroit]
At 36th Chamber, we thrive on spontaneity, and our first Chamber Session was exactly that—pure chaos in the best way possible.
Picture this: an idea gets tossed out, and less than 12 hours later, we’re throwing an event with none other than Detroit’s own DJ Assault.
It all started on a whim. We wanted to put together a night that felt raw—music, energy, and good people in the right space. We heard DJ Assault was in town for his Australian tour, hit him up, and somehow, he was down. No time to overthink—just make it happen.
The catch? He had a tight schedule and had to be out of the city soon. That left us with just a few hours to pull everything together—venue, sound, setup—all while still cutting hair in between. It was a full-blown sprint, but that rush? That’s what makes it worth it.
When the night finally hit, the energy was unreal. DJ Assault took over, the music was bumping, and people showed up ready to move. The vibe was electric—one of those moments where everything just clicks, and you know it was meant to happen.
Chamber Sessions Volume One was proof that the best nights are the ones you don’t plan too much—just trust the vision and go all in.
And this is just the beginning. We’re already gearing up for the next one. Stay locked in—36th Chamber is just getting started.
